[She follows Mari with a swishing of skirts around her knees; living with and working for Rohan means that she's always well-dressed, and today is no exception.

Um—I'm not sure, actually! I've never been here in the fall before. But I'm hoping they don't fall off. I've already lost all my hair once.

[She takes a few minutes to wind her grassy hair, steadily turning more and more orange by the day, up into a bun and to pull on a sweater, before she shows up at the door of Rohan's room, knocking gently.]

[ Rohan is quick to answer. Pulling the door open, he greets her with something of a smile-- he's always happy to see her. Out the door rolls a thick blanket of fog that tumbles about her feet like dry ice. In his voice are a flurry of whispers that have come about recently and have maybe been noticed. ]

I like the Autumn colors on you. [ He is already bundled up in a turtleneck that accompanies more fog around his shoulders. His key is already in his hand. ]

[It's always nice to see Rohan smiling. Especially after Jotaro's disappearance—she wants nothing more for Rohan than to be happy. Anna's hand waves away some of the fog, and she blinks a couple of times. Maybe she'll finally figure out why Rohan has been so...different lately.

One hand comes up to touch her hair cautiously.]

Thank you! It's almost like having my real hair back. [A nod.] Ready as ever!

I have always enjoyed the green, but I think the orange is far more fitting for you. [ Because she's a fiery redhead, get it?

He corrals her behind him and slips his key through the keyhole in his door, bumping it back open again and leading her into the familiar front room of his home in Dyster. His tail trails behind him in lieu of his cape fluttering in the non-breeze. ]

I am sure that you have noticed some... Odd happenings lately regarding myself.

Well, we'll just have to make a list of the shops you haven't visited yet, and we can stop by together. We can even make a day of it, if you want.

[Anna gasps, bouncing on her toes and clapping excitedly with a mouthful of brownie.]

I'd love that! Oh, it'd be so fun, we could eat so many sweets on the way!

[Priorities. She thinks for a moment.]

Y'know, I'm not sure! But if not, I bet we could ask Mana for one...

I have to agree! It's a nice change from the whole, y'know, monochromatic thing.

[She watches Rohan open the door into Dyster just like the last time, and follows him through, feeling a little less scared than she did the last time. She laughs, a little nervously.]

Um...a little bit.

...what do you mean by that?

[ He ushers her off near the dimly-glowing fireplace, coiling up on himself. ]

The Fog God has blessed you. Should either of you be harmed, you will arrive here unscathed. She allowed this due to the sacrifice... [ Er... ] ... The request I made.

I am one of her Priests now. Therefore, you are under Her protection and mine. Karamatsu has been given the same gift as the two of you.

[Anna's eyes are as wide as saucers as Rohan explains himself. It takes her a moment to come up with a proper response. But when she does, she reaches out to grab Rohan's hand and give it a tight squeeze.]

That's...wow. Thank you, Rohan. You'd do that for me? For all of us?

[manuscripture]

[ There was a time before where he would flinch and pull his hand away from anyone wanting to touch it. Anna is given that allowance and he curls his fingers around her thumb. The wash of fog plays around on the floor by her feet and the ending length of his tail. ]

Of course I would. The three of you are the most important things that I have. I would be a very sad man without you.

[ Sadder than he already is by default. ]

[She almost doesn't notice the way the fog settles around him; she's too busy smiling up at him in a way that suggests that tears are on their way. Sticky sap tears.]

And I'd be just as sad without you, Rohan. You were my very first friend here, and...and I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me.

[ He reaches with his other hand to try wiping away those sap tears.

[ She owns a couple of Rohan's pieces herself! They're not fond of each other, but business is business, right? ]

[Anna blinks a couple of times, trying to clear her eyes; she hates crying as a nymph. It stings.]

Usually when someone tries to keep me safe...it does more harm than good. My parents, they...they meant well, but they shut us away and that hurt Elsa and I a whole lot more than it helped. But whatever it is you did to help us...Thank you. I know you'd never do anything that might hurt me.

[Anna doesn't know either she's just winging this whole thing.

She giggles, and nods.]

Pretty terrible, yeah! But, um—I was thinking of singing something French. Would that be okay?

[ They stop their tour in the well-lit yard and Mari hurries her to a spot near a little tea garden. ]

Go for it! I can sing in Italian, Japanese, AND English. It demonstrates well-roundedness.

[Anna can't help but feel a little self-conscious, now, but—! There's nothing for it but to go ahead and sing.

She clears her throat, and launches into a pretty, clear-voiced rendition of au Clair de la Lune.]

You're an adult. [ Has he referred to any of his flock as adults? ]

I have no reason to restrict you like a child, Princess. I only grow protective when I need to. Now, I don't have to worry about that. She has been very kind to me.

[Wait did nobody seriously explain this to her yet WHOOPS]

No, no, Mana is, um...sort of like a helper! She has magic, and she takes these coins in exchange for requests! Have you gotten, like, some weird coins under your pillow...?

Oh, that's what they're for? There were quite a few of them under my pillow, but they didn't seem like any sort of currency the shops here used, so I put them in my dresser.

[There's a... pause, and Elsa looks a bit uncertain.]

Is she a god, like the ones some of the monsters here talk about?
