[Anna holds up a hand, reassuring Elsa on her cooking prowess.]

No way, Elsa, I'm serious. It's amazing. Kiiiinda makes me wonder what other hidden talents you have!

[She waggles her eyebrows suggestively, but that look expands into wide-eyed surprise.]

What...? Elsa, you didn't get me a present, did you?

[Elsa just gives a sheepish little shrug. She doesn't really think her own personal talents, outside of those as a nymph, are very special, so there's nothing to even jokingly brag to Anna about. But that's fine, because this shouldn't be about her! Today is Anna's day, and even if she opted out of throwing a huge party, she's still going to focus on her sister, rather than herself.

... Well. More than she usually does on a normal day.

Elsa stands, leaving the plates with the half-eaten cake on the table for now, and grabs something off of one of the nearby counters - several somethings, actually, wrapped in neat, shiny paper.]

Of course I did. It's nothing like the collection I got you on your first birthday after the gates opened... [Moving back to the table, she sets two small boxes in front of Anna.] But it's still something meaningful.

[When Anna unwraps her presents, she'll find two pieces of jewelry; the first is a charm bracelet, with little silver charms of the Arendelle Crocus and Elsa's signature snowflake, alternating around the entire thin chain. The second is a set of earrings, one of a sun - stylized somewhat similar to the Corona sun, but different enough that it's not really a copy - and the other of a crescent moon, these in gold. It's nothing overly flashy, nothing encrusted with gems or precious stones... they're beautiful, but simple.]

I told you I'd give you the sun, the moon, and the sky for your birthday... but I hope two out of three is good enough.

[Anna looks back and forth between Elsa and the boxes, Elsa and the boxes. Chewing her lip to hide her smile, she starts to open them.]

You really didn't have to, the feast you made me was more than enough....oh, Elsa.

[She holds up first the charm bracelet, and then the earrings, letting the candlelight from the chandelier glint off them. She can feel herself growing a little bit giddy from the surge of sheer affection she feels for her sister. Standing wordlessly, Anna throws her arms around Elsa's slight shoulders.]

They're perfect.

[The hug is returned without even a moment of hesitation, Elsa wrapping her arms tight around her sister. Seeing Anna so emotional always makes Elsa a little bit emotional in turn, so even as she smiles, she can feel a slight prickling at the corners of her eyes.]

Only the best for you, Anna. I know you said I really don't have to do much for your birthday, but... I had to do something like this. Something special.

[Though her guilt over Anna losing out on so many birthdays is what mainly drives her to overcompensate, it's also just... her inability to fully express how much she loves her sister and how much Anna means to her. Elsa's not exactly the best person when it comes to talking about her feelings, so the only way to express said feelings is through gestures like this.]

I'm glad you enjoyed the food, but now you have something that will last as well.

Well...you know what this means!

[Anna pulls back, grinning ear to ear, and starts to clasp the charm bracelet around her wrist. She's already determined to wear both of these gifts as often as she can. Maybe even daily, if she remembers.]

I just have to return the favor once December comes around.

[Note to self: never let Anna know that she never told anyone about her birthday and thus skipped it this past December. Hoo boy.]

... I'd say you really don't have to, but I know it will fall on deaf ears the same way it did when you told me I didn't need to do anything too special for today.

[Anna leans in and nudges her shoulder against Elsa's, mischief sparkling in her eyes.]

That's how you know we're related!

[Elsa lets out a giggle as she nudges Anna right back.]

Most people might think an incredibly stubborn streak running in the family would be a bad thing, you know. [There's a pause, before Elsa leans closer again, gently bumping her head against Anna's in an affectionate gesture.] But it's thanks to that stubbornness that you saved Arendelle, so I suppose it can be a good thing in some situations.
