What? Okay, hold on. Are you saying you've punched someone's head off?
[Because that's no less impressive.... or doki-inspiring.]
no subject
No, no, no. Not off. But I did punch a guy off the deck of a ship! I just punched the dummy as hard as I punched him.
no subject
[She peers a bit closer at Anna, honestly intrigued.]
Does this have anything to do with Sideburns over there?
no subject
[Anna chuckles, toying with a strand of her hair.]
It was him. But he was a huge jerk, he definitely deserved it.
no subject
Honestly? He could have done nothing and I'd say he probably deserved it.
[she marches over to the dummy, reaching over to pick up the head, just barely dangling off the dummy.]
But what did Sideburns here do to deserve a haymaker like that one?
no subject
[Anna chuckles, and then sits down in the grass. This is a story that requires a little time, so she might as well make herself comfortable. As she goes on, she threads her fingers through the grass, not tugging but almost petting it. Grass has a softer voice than other plants, she's found, but a soothing one.]
Well, it's kind of a long story. But if you have the time to listen...well, it might explain some things about Elsa and I.
no subject
[Cass watches Anna take a seat in the grass and, after some consideration, she joins her, cross-legged in front of her. She can't hear the grass, but it does make a good seat.]
Well, it's not exactly how I thought your first training day was going to go... but I've got time to listen if you do. I'm actually really curious.
no subject
[Anna's gratified that someone seems to want to hear her story. The story of her, and Elsa, and Hans, and Kristoff, and Olaf...
Gods, she misses Olaf.
So she tells Cassandra everything. The whole story, which is hard because she sounds kinda stupid for a lot of it. But by the time she's finished, she's got a fond grin on her face.]
And then I punched him so hard in the face he went sprawling into the fjord!
no subject
But, right now, she sits back, and quietly listens to Anna's story about... everything. The coronation day, meeting Hans, Elsa's escape, Olaf.
What is with princess and magical creatures?
Cassandra listens thoughtfully, making note of some of the things Anna says. By the end, she's transfixed, and lets out a laugh at the punch.]
Ha! That'll show him for trying to mess with both of you! What happened to him after that?
no subject
He was arrested, and sent back to the Southern Isles for his family to deal with. But I like to imagine he's somewhere shoveling manure all day, personally. He'd hate that.
no subject
Stuck up guy like that? He'd wish he was just thrown in jail after a few rounds of stable duty. [The thought brought her some joy, honestly.] Seriously, I'm sorry, but guys are the worst.
[She's not very sorry.]
no subject
[Anna laughs, because Cass has just voiced her exact opinion.]
The worst! Exactly! It's like...they're almost not worth bothering with.
no subject
[...Snrk. She had to snicker, as a thought slipped into her mind.]
Like this guy I was "dating." Hubert. He was a piece of work, that's for sure.
no subject
[Like you're anyone to talk, with your Olafs and your Svens and your Gerdas, Anna.]
...Except you, and Rapunzel. Those are both nice names, actually. But what did he do that was so awful?
no subject
[That's Rapunzel erasure. But then....]
...Fair enough. [She sits back, looking at the dummy again. Boy, if that didn't seem familiar before.] Well, if you want to know, I guess it's okay. Considering everything you just told me...
[And she tells her, everything; the book of Herz Der Sonne, the festival of hearts, how Andrew walked into her life, how Rapunzel fell into the tale, and finally the fight in a hot air balloon.
It's a gripping tale, if shorter than Annas, bit less than half an hour to tell, with no breaks.]
...So I got a medal for my hard work, and that loser Hubert got put behind bars. The end.
no subject
Wow, you weren't kidding! He was a loser. I hope he stayed there, too!
no subject
[Several months of acting straight took it right out of her.]
But it feels kind of good knowing that's not the only time that sort of thing's happened.
no subject
[Anna shrugs and gives Cassandra a grin.] Considering i’m pretty sure we both come from the same world...it’s not too surprising that we’ve both gone through some crazy stuff!
no subject
[Something about the royals never opening their doors yet, and no coronations to hear of.]
Although, if I knew you two, I would have tried to visit a long time ago.
