When you said you wanted me to let you know how my hunger goes...what exactly did you want to know?
Because it turns out all those people on the network were right, having roots fixed my hunger problem immediately.
So basically...we eat with our feet.

[Good morning, Anna, how are you?]
expectional: over finals. Come over and bring wine. (food ☾ I'm ordering sushi and crying)

[Sorry...but there's really just no good time to bring up this sort of thing.]

The same way actual plants "eat" nutrients from the soil with their roots.
Only instead of soil, it's a human body.
expectional: straight on a subject no one cares about just because i love sharing information* (talk ☾ me: *talks for thirty minutes)

I imagine it would hurt if you did it to a person while they were alive, yes.
That said, I'm pretty sure it's not souls. It definitely laves a physical impact on the body.
I'm not sure exactly WHAT it is, since I can't see through skin and roots don't exactly have taste buds.
But, if I had to guess, they're drawing various chemicals and minerals from the various tissues that make up a human body. I suppose blood is a possibility too.
Humans are carbon-based life forms, after all, and carbon is one of the three elements most essential for plant growth.
And that's only ONE element that makes up a human body.
expectional: that I laminated my history notes so i can study in the shower. (talk ☾ I just wanted to let you know)

You think so? I thought it was an improvement over the normal way of eating.
Much simpler and cleaner.
How did goblins feed?

Basically, yes. Though I put the body in front of a bench and sat down instead of standing on it.
I'll admit that this is the one thing that isn't an improvement over the normal way of eating. It is pretty awkward, not to mention the fact that you can't move.
But at least it's not something you'll have to do every single day, unless you really want to. And we can still eat normal food the regular way.
