[Anna's glad, more than anything, that she and Elsa have been able to find their own way in this place. Both together, and apart. Anna has always been independent, and between wanting to spend time with Chloe, and not wanting to bog Elsa down when she has her own goals in Johto, it suits her just fine the way things have been. Still, it lifts her spirits immensely to get a call from Elsa; she's en route to Ecruteak with Chloe at the moment, and when she answers, it's cross-legged from inside their tent, with the sounds of Chloe swearing faintly at the fire pit outside drifting in. Elsa might also notice that Anna's got her hair braided in one thick plait down the side of her shoulder...an homage to her sister, perhaps?]

Hey, you! I'm so glad to hear from you, geez! I love you and miss you, too, so much...

[Anna laughs, pausing to catch a breath.]

I'm doing great! We're halfway to Ecruteak, I think, and the weather has been so nice. How's your vacation going?

[Elsa notices the new hair style immediately- it's very flattering and Elsa absently reaches up to run a hand along her own braid, a smile toying at her lips. She doesn't say anything, but just know she's very flattered.]

Oh, that's so good to hear! [Don't think she doesn't hear Chloe cursing in the background- but she can only chuckle quietly. She's tried so hard to dislike Chloe, to compare her to Kristoff and wait for Anna to decide she's making a mistake, but she just. She can't. Chloe is a lot, but Elsa has come to like her.]

But my vacation is going pretty well. I'm so unused to doing nothing, it's actually a little stressful! [She laughs, before it fades into a thoughtful look.] Who would've thought that this is where we would end up, huh? [All those years of thinking life would never change, that there would always be a door separating her from the rest of the world. From Anna. And now here they are, it's... well, if it isn't obvious that she's been super in her head, it might be now.] I'm sorry- I've had a lot on my mind lately, is all.

[Anna's sort of just learned to accept that Chloe will always be there, somewhere in the background, cursing. It's a part of her life now.

She laughs, incredulous.]

You're stressed out about doing nothing? Elsa, I had no idea you were such a workaholic!

[Her giggles peter out into a happy grin, but there's a tinge of worry at the end there.]

...Everything's okay, right? You and Ford are, you know...everything's good?

I like to keep busy!

[She almost sounds defensive. Almost.

At Anna's question, her first instinct is to just brush it off and say she's fine and that everything is okay. Because... it mostly is. But there's so much nagging in her head as of late and even though she's itching to conceal it, she knows better.]

Yes! I mean- mostly. I... I guess I've just been thinking a lot about. Um. [She doesn't want to say it, but she's gotta say it.] Disappearances. [If you get what she means.] And it's making me worry that- am I... there for you enough? Are you happy?

Ha! I know you do. I'd go crazy too if I had to just sit around doing nothing all the time, actually.

[As fidgety as Anna is on a normal day, that shouldn't come as any surprise to anyone who knows her. But as Elsa explains her worries, she goes strangely still, her expression drawn up in concern. Almost immediately, she's shaking her head.]

What...? Elsa, you're always there for me if I need you! I know if I asked you to come here right now, you'd do it in a heartbeat. And I'd do the same for you. Both of us just have our own thing going on right now, and...I don't think it's a bad thing at all, it means we can both find happiness without feeling like we're...I dunno, dragging the other down. Do you get what I'm saying?

[Listen to her, she's so logical and down to earth sometimes. Isn't that Elsa's job? Anna has matured so much since the two of them arrived here, it's becoming pretty apparent right now. It makes Elsa feel better and helps her realize that she's being a bit irrational.]

I do! I... you're right. [Elsa lets out a small laugh, her tension easing already the more she thinks on it all.] I tend to over-think things a lot... and all these people who are important to Ford disappearing, it- it worries me. But I'm glad that... [she hesitates, but she has to say it or else she'll just stew on it for a long time- she's already feeling better just expressing what she has already.] if I disappear, you won't.. think badly of our time here.

[Anna chews her lip and nods; she understands! It's scary, seeing people come and go, and never knowing if you'll wake up to find the one you love gone tomorrow, too. But she still feels herself welling up at Elsa's affirmation of her feelings, and she shakes her head again, a little more gently this time.]

Never, Elsa. Never, ever. I've had the time of my life, honestly. And you being here is a huge part of that.

[Elsa smiles, all her anxiety and worries sort of melting away- or at least fading into the background where she's gotten much better at keeping them. As long as Anna is happy, she can be happy too. As much as she's her own person doing her own things, if Anna was unhappy there isn't anything Elsa wouldn't do to change that.]

I'm so glad you hear that. Thank you for listening to my worries, however silly they are. I really do feel better.

[She doesn't have time to say much else, because all of a sudden Skadi can be heard offscreen trying to get Elsa's attention.]

Oh- I forgot! I told her to remind me... She and I are going to take a painting class! Oh, I'm so excited. I'm sorry to cut this short, but-- [She reminds herself it's okay and that Anna isn't going to be put out.] I love you, okay? I hope the rest of your day is fun and full of adventure!

[Anna gives her sister a fond smile that morphs into a delighted grin at the sudden yips and barks of the Ninetales offscreen. She waves a hand.]

Oh, geez, yeah, you definitely can't miss that! I hope you guys have fun!

[She blows a kiss to her sister.] I love you too! Send me a picture of your paintings, ok?
